Pre-Engineering – Robotics (80 minutes)

In this course students will use robotics to explore the fundamentals of engineering and electronics.  Topics of discussion will include engineering, physics, electronics, mechanics and computer programming.  Laboratory experiments will require students to build robots and demonstrate these principles.  Experiments include:

– design and build a simple hydraulic robot

– build and program a robot that uses sensors to navigate its environment

– build a VEX robot to compete in multiple classroom challenges

– build an underwater remote controlled vehicle

Open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.

This course is held at SCTC in room Pre-Engineering.
