SCTC Culinary Arts students had the opportunity to learn techniques from a guest Chef today. That being Chef Heidi Parent who was on season 16 of Hell’s Kitchen and currently is the Culinary Arts Instructor at Capital Area Technical Center. Chef Crate and Chef Parent worked with the students to create a near perfect Beef Wellington.
Our CNA Students visited Maine College of Health Professions in Lewiston this week. The students learned about the nursing tracks they offer along with their radiology program. Students where excited to learn that the college has 100% employment placement upon finishing one of their programs. #sctc4me #Melmac #Collegeoptions #placement #HCC #mainehealth

On October 4th, 2019, Early Childhood students attended the Maine Association for the Eduction of Young Children’s (MAEYC) conference in Bangor, Maine. The students participated in sessions about advocacy, leadership, lesson planning etc. They also had the opportunity to connect with seasoned early childhood professionals and learned about careers in this field.
