SCTC Celebrates Expansion

SCTC celebrated the expansion of the Welding Training Program with a Open House on October 19, 2021.

In order to help the growing workforce needs in Somerset County SCTC has worked with many Community partners to expand the Welding Technology Program from one location to a second facility at Madison Area Memorial High School. With this, an additional 16 students will now have the opportunity to train and earn an American Welding Society (AWS) welding certification.

Not only will this new welding lab reduce the SCTC student waitlist, the program plans to serve adult learners in the coming years. This facility will also meet the need for community partners to be able to up-skill their employees.

We would like to Thank our Community Partners who helped with this expansion and continue to support SCTC as we train students to better meet the workforce needs in Somerset County and beyond.
