SCTC SKILLSUSA CHAPTER HEADS TO NLSC
SCTC’s SkillsUSA Advisors and six students left for Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday, June 24 to compete at the National SkillsUSA Leadership Conference. This year 3 of those students will be competing in Community Service, Sam Dunton, Cassidy Hamm and Promise Pattterson. These students headed up the Chapters Community Service Project which was to raise money for Camp Sunshine; a camp for families with children who have life threatening illnesses. The group held an auction in February and raised over $1500. They also sponsored a brick in the camps pathway as well as purchased items on the Sunshine Wish List.
This community service project was an eye opening educational and moving experience for the entire chapter. Best of luck at NSLC18!
