Business Academy

The world economy is at your fingertips.

Welcome to the SCTC Business Academy program, where innovation meets entrepreneurship! The Business Academy is designed to help students develop a solid understanding of key business concepts and equip students with essential business skills, knowledge and the mindset necessary to thrive in today’s dynamic business world.

Whether students have plans of starting their own business, working in marketing, or managing finances, the business academy will give them the tools they will need to succeed. With the courses offered students will have the opportunity to explore various areas of business, including entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, management, economics, and computer applications. Our hands-on projects will allow students to apply what they learn to real-world scenarios, from developing a business plan to conducting market research. This program will set students up with a solid foundation to

become skilled business professionals and future leaders to excel in high-demand business career fields.

Students may sign up for as many course as their schedule will allow. Several of the courses offered provide the opportunity for students to dual-enroll (at no cost to the student) with Thomas College and Somerset Career & Technical Center. Upon successful completion of a dual-enrolled course, students not only earn high school credit; they also earn college credit. Students have the potential to earn up to 21 college credits with the dual-enrolled courses offered through the Business Academy.
