The Commercial Driver Licensing Program prepares students to take the State of Maine’s CDL Class A Commercial Driver’s Permit test, and ultimately the CDL Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Classes follow federal and state laws, including Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements, industry standards, and equipment inspection protocols needed for licensing and future employment. Students gain essential entry-level skills for the trucking industry through hands-on experience with school equipment as they prepare for their licensing test.
The program boasts a high success rate for both employment and continued education after completion.
Prerequisite:
Applicants in the CDL program must have a valid Class C driver’s license to attend the class.
Students in this program must pass all required drug tests before operating any equipment and will be tested randomly throughout the school year.
