Prepare for a career in the emergency services by learning to handle medical emergencies and gain certification for the EMS Basic exam. Learn skills like CPR, oxygen therapy, and triage to prepare you for real-world situations.

EMTs are often the first person there.

The EMT program introduces students to the exciting and challenging field of emergency medical services (EMS). Students will gain an understanding of human anatomy, patient assessment, medical terminology, and emergency care procedures while developing the professionalism and teamwork essential in healthcare and public safety careers. It prepares students with the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience needed to respond to both trauma and medical emergencies in the pre-hospital setting.

Upon successful completion of this course students are eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) EMT certification exam.
